The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at a rank commensurate with experience and academic activity. This full-time, continuing position carries a primary faculty appointment at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University.Responsibilities include leading clinical genomic activities at Lurie Children’s Hospital, and the oversight of the Molecular Genetics Laboratory, including the review, interpretation and sign-out of Genetic Laboratory test results (microarray, MLPA, Sanger sequencing, triplet-repeat primed PCR, microsatellite-based chimerism analysis, constitutional and somatic NGS sequencing panels, and whole exome sequencing). Lurie Children's Hospital is an independent, free-standing hospital that provides tertiary care pediatric services, with active programs in all pediatric specialties. The Department of Pathology plays a central role in the Precision Medicine initiative of LCH.
Qualified candidates will be an MD, DO, or PhD with ABMGG certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics, or ABP subspecialty certification in Molecular Genetic Pathology. A minimum of five years relevant experience is required.
