The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Neonatology, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The successful applicant will have an established, independent research program with current extramural funding. Duties and responsibilities will include growing and sustaining the applicant's research program, participating in patient care, mentoring of clinical and non-clinical trainees, and teaching. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. We especially welcome applicants with research programs in genetics/genomics, neuroscience, placental biology, or developmental biology. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, and 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
