Work under the general supervision of the Director of Research on research projects performing standard laboratory procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out research, collect and analyze data, maintain accurate and timely record of test results; participate in meetings with the Director of Research.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or high school education (some college preferred) with 1-2 years of related lab experience. Must be willing to work flexible hours as necessary. Successful candidate will be expected to exhibit individual initiative, work independently; be technically proficient and accurate; effectively communicate in both written reports and presentations; initiate and ensure compliance with applicable safety procedures; and possess attention to detail.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Seek applicant with skills/experience in one or more of the following: 1- Microfluidic methods 2- Hydrogels handling for oral and dental applications and use of new hydrogels 3- Extraction and isolation of cells form human and animal tissues (pulp stem cell, PDL stem cells, osteoblast, keratinocytes, oral fibroblast and mesenchymal stem cells) 4- Cytotoxicity, proliferation, migration of cells in tissue engineered constructs. 5- Sustained release of drugs (drug delivery) 6- Applying different assays (histological, Apoptosis, etc.) on tissue/scaffold constructs 7- Techniques of molecular biology including PCR, real-time PCR, cloning, Electrophoretic separation of proteins and western blotting, and ELISA 8- Dynamic cell culturing 9- Gene expression 10- Stem cell biology, differentiation, expansion and relevant technology for stem cell growth 11- Immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry 12- In vivo examinations and animal handing 13- Microbiology 14-Extraction of collagen 15-Designing/working with Bioreactors
