Trinity Christian College seeks a full-time Data Entry Specialist for the Advancement Department. The Data Entry Specialist, in collaboration with the Advancement Services team, has responsibility for the integrity of advancement data regarding academics, employment, affiliations, involvement, relationships, and contact details. The Specialist will maintain TrollNation Network membership records and pull member lists as requested. The position will also provide secondary support in the area of gift processing.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Researches and updates data such as addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, employment information, marital status, parent/child relationships, obituaries, etc. in Raiser's Edge, the Advancement database.
Uses the query and exporting functions of Raiser's Edge to pull lists of constituents for a variety of purposes.
Records event participations, board/committee/team involvement, educational details, and communication responses for a number of constituency groups.
Maintains all TrollNation Network membership preferences and involvement categories, assisting Alumni and Family Engagement staff.
Tracks new hires and terminations of College faculty and staff.
Assists in the assignment of constituents to gift officer portfolios, as directed.
Provides back-up support in the area of gift entry and receipting.
Hires and supervises student workers, as needed.
Assists with special data projects as instructed by the Director of Advancement Services.
Performs additional administrative duties as required by the Vice President for Advancement.
The successful candidate will have experience in office management and/or a support staff role that lends itself to managing several projects at once. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret journals, reports and documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from staff or members of the community. Ability to write for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information from top management, public groups, and/or board of trustees and others. Ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and act accordingly when working with others.
Raiser's Edge Fundamentals or Professional Certification preferred.
