The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology is recruiting for Assistant/Associate Professor level with the primary focus of outpatient clinical service for Pediatric Cardiology patients seeking care in the South Bend, IN region.
Clinical service to include: Clinical duties will be centered in our South Bend, IN practice and will largely be the outpatient evaluation and management of children with or concern for heart disease including the interpretation of the studies from the practice (ECGs, Holter and event monitoring, and echocardiograms). This could also include fetal echocardiograms. There may be limited inpatient activities at Beacon Memorial Hospital in South Bend. There may be additional strategic locations for other outreach outpatient clinics in communities surrounding South Bend. Call will be shared within the South Bend practice as well as partial coverage from the Riley group. There is limited teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students. Most clinicians in our Division also find time to pursue other activities such as clinical research, teaching, and health administration.
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health and Indiana University School of Medicine is one of the leading programs in the United States. Annually, we perform over 500 cardiac operations (including hybrid procedures), over 600 cardiac cath lab procedures (including EP procedures), over 9000 outpatient visits, and interpret over 17000 echocardiograms. In 2018 we were ranked #21 nationally by USNWR. Team-based specialties include Cardiac ICU, Cardiac Transplantation/Heart Failure, Fetal Cardiology with plans for on-site delivery services for high-risk neonates in our Fetal Center, Interstage monitoring program, Preventive Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Cardiac Genetics, Pulmonary Hypertension and Adult Congenital Services.

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology with the American Board of Pediatrics; Certificate of Completion from an Accredited Pediatric Cardiology Training Program or equivalent; Superb interpersonal, communication, professional, and organizational skills.
