Cold Spring Harbor laboratory located on the North Shore of Long Island, is currently accepting applications for a Research Technician to perform medical research in the Human papillomavirus (HPV) field in an academic setting. The successful applicant will have a strong research interest and willingness to develop his/her technical skills to perform cutting edge experimentation under supervision. The tasks involve applying molecular biology and biochemical techniques such as sub-cloning, mutagenesis, recombinant protein expression and purification, EMSA, mammalian cell culture, etc., to the identification and characterization of potential small molecule drug targets in components of the HPV replication machinery.
Education & Experience: A Bachelor Degree in molecular biology or biotechnology is required for this position.
Other Experience & Skills: Familiarity with word processing, presentation programs, and spreadsheets is desirable.
