1.Analyze and maintain restricted funds, including quarterly and annual financial statements.
2.Prepare the monthly General and AP bank reconciliations. Prepare all of the monthly bank reconciliations and corresponding transfers and journal entries.
3.Review Fine Arts deposits prior to processing, as needed. Record box office returns and reconcile the box office clearing account.
4.Maintain student organization accounts.
5.Maintain online purchase order security records, including signature list.
6.Prepare audit work papers, including footnotes, schedules, and queries. Work with external auditors during year-end financial statement preparation.
7.Financial aid reporting and transfers.
8.Work with Alumni to record deposits and make adjustments.
9.Maintain and update online security records for employees in Merlin.
10.Responsible for coordinating grant post award accounting with faculty and staff.
11.Daily cash management functions, including wires and bank transfers.
12.Oversees the reconciliation of Title IV Drawdowns and review for accuracy.
13.Prepare monthly journal entries for payroll – FSA, commuter benefit.
14.Prepare quarterly journal entries for unemployment tax paid
15.Prepare the covenant calculations validating the College's compliance with the agreed upon letters of credit held by the College's financial institution partners.
16.Perform job related duties and tasks as assigned.
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
Minimum of (4) four years' experience working in an accounting office required. Experience using Ellucian' s Colleague (Datatel) system and Informer reporting tool preferred.
Responsible for overseeing financial aspects of federal, state and private foundation sponsored awards and independently making decisions regarding expenditures and data provided. Support audit activity and general accounting tasks of the College.
