1.Provide general administrative assistance for the Character Education Project. 2.Coordinate logistics and hospitality for meetings, travel, conferences and other events hosted by the project. Collaborate with other constituencies (Maintenance, Catering, and Information Technology Services) and oversee event setup. 3.Reconcile credit card statements for project members on a monthly basis. 4.Create memos, letters, emails, flyers, posters, brochures, newsletters, and other forms of communication to publicize initiatives. 5.Help develop and maintain College and social networking websites by soliciting and writing new content. 6.Prepare purchase orders, payments, and reimbursements for the Character Education Project. 7.Maintain complete confidentiality on academic and business matters related to the Character Education Project. 8.Other duties as assigned.
An associate's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years in an administrative support role required. Experience within an institution of higher education preferred.
This position performs high-level administrative support for the organization and implementation of administrative duties for the Character Education Project, utilizing tact, diplomacy, and discretion, as required on a wide variety of complex and sensitive issues. Funded through a significant 4.5 year grant from the Kern Family Foundation, the Character Education Project is designed to produce educational leaders ready to foster cultures of character in PK-12 schools.
Employed for a twelve‐month basis with a standard workweek of 20 hours (1,040 hours annually).
