This full-time position requires marketing and sports information support for an NAIA Division program in the competitive Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) fielding seven teams in five men’s and five women’s sports programs. Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications is responsible for; all elements of sports information and media relations; supervision of sports information personnel; department marketing and game promotions, and all social media efforts for the department’s athletic programs.
Regular evening and weekend work required.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field
Minimum Experience: Three years of experience in athletic related setting
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Experience in a similar role, written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, computer skills (including graphic design experience, but not limited to Microsoft Office, InDesign, Photoshop, Flash, StatCrew /Dakstats, etc.), ability to work independently, excellent problem-solving skills, and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment
