The Department of Health Policy and Management in the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health is looking for scholars who will contribute to our commitment to engage the city, state, nation and beyond through teaching, research and service, in consideration of the rich diversity of our campus and city as we prepare our graduates to enter and lead in an increasingly complex world.
The Department is currently seeking a full-time faculty member, at the rank of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, whose primary responsibilities will be teaching, mentoring, and helping to assure student success in the department's undergraduate program. Candidates with backgrounds in student development and/or any area of health management are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching and experiential learning. The ideal candidate will also have experience supporting student success, retention and progression toward graduation and career achievement through programming and outreach.
In addition to teaching courses in the Health Services Management curriculum, the candidate will be expected to support undergraduate student success and retention in a variety of ways. The Lecturer will emphasize student professional development and career achievement through establishing and coordinating internships and other professional development programming. The Lecturer will engage with exploratory students, for example, freshmen majors through first year experience programming, and will maintain relationships with academic advising offices to ensure awareness of the Health Services Management program across campus. Candidates must have at least a Master's degree to be eligible for this faculty position.
The Department is undergoing an exciting period of growth and development especially in our Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management program, which is one of the largest programs in the School. Separately, the Department houses several graduate programs at the masters and doctoral levels. If desired by the incumbent, there are opportunities to get involved in teaching and supporting students in other programs within the Department.

Undergraduate teaching experience especially with students in health administration, public health, or related fields. Experience using a learning management system (eg., Canvas) desired
Ability, desire, and experience in working with undergraduate students including assisting with recruitment, retention, professional development, internship and job placements
Knowledge of, or ability to develop, connections to student advising and recruitment offices.
Master's degree or higher in a relevant field such as health administration, public health, education, leadership, or educational administration.
