The department of Oral Surgery and Hospital Dentistry in the Indiana University School of Dentistry is seeking qualified applicants for the position of clinical assistant/associate professor. This full-time clinical track position is within the department's Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Responsibilities include didactic, academic and clinical teaching for the OMFS pre-doctoral and residency program. The ideal candidate should have a strong emphasis in dento-alveolar surgery, but also work with the full scope of OMFS. Service expectations include attendance and participation in departmental didactic activities, including lectures to pre-doctoral students and residents. The new team member will be expected to build upon the school's and campus's tradition of excellence and to further advance scholarship, education, clinical service, and community engagement. He or she must be motivated to do academic and program-building work with Oral Surgery pre-doctoral students and residents.
Participation in hospital on-call service is strongly encouraged. Faculty and residents of the department cover several interconnected facilities on the downtown campus, including IU Health Methodist Hospital and Eskenazi Hospital, two of the three Level 1 trauma centers in the state.

Required: Completion of a dental program and an OMFS residency program accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation. Either current status as or eligibility to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Eligibility for an Indiana dental license.
