The Content Producer develops and manages content needs for the Kellogg School of Management and insures that marketing and communication efforts across channels meet strategic goals and addresses audience needs and behaviors to drive desired outcomes. This role takes the lead on producing all content for key business areas. The ideal candidate is a versatile writer with a notable passion to influence stake holder outcomes and an ability to analyze content performance as a defined through established KPIs/ Dashboard. This role requires an ability to adapt to shifting priorities and successfully delivering on tight timelines. Experience with multimedia storytelling is essential.
The Content Producer will create content for multiple channels based off of audience insight, desired outcome and channel best practices. These channels include (but are not limited to):
Please note: Evening and weekend hours are occasionally necessary when workload or event coverage requires it.
Once project need is established. Content Producer is responsible for meeting with MarComm Director and Creative team to deliver content driven by the established business objectives and deliver content form first draft through final product. The ideal candidate should be equipped to manage high priority initiative in a narrative manner.
Print & E-mail materials: Help to create impactful pieces to engage audience including identifying alumni student or faculty examples to meet story objective.
Web: Work with design and front-end developers to enhance user experience while delivering on brand and business objectives.
Presentation Support: Understand the outline provided by the MarComm Director, and help to optimize talking points in order to meet audience needs. This includes helping to identify speakers, obtaining relevant information to tell they sort effectively, and participating in the briefing of speakers in conjunction with Marketing of Communication.
Social Promotion: Once campaign or theme is identified, Content Producer will work with MarComm Director to understand what assets (ex: content for infographic, blog post, listicle, interactive gif) are needed to share socially and will develop the assets.
Provide monthly recap/analysis on their content
BS or MS in Marketing Communications or a related field
5 years’ work experience in a content, marketing or communications capacity
