The Department of Speech-Language Pathology in the John G. Rangos, Sr. School of Health Sciences at Duquesne University is seeking a full-time tenure-track faculty member to conduct research and to teach in the area of medical speech-language pathology, optimally with a specialization in voice disorders, motor speech disorders, or dysphagia.
The start date for this position will be as early as July 1, 2021, but no later than July 1, 2022. Review of candidates will begin on receipt of applications and continue until the position is filled. Initial review of applications will be completed by February 1, 2021.

Additionally, this position offers a unique opportunity to serve in a consultant role as a member of the clinical team in the Duquesne University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. The specific emphasis of this faculty member's role in supporting student clinical education will be dependent upon the expertise of the individual.
The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Duquesne University offers the nation's first guaranteed-seat, five-year program. Students are admitted as freshmen, earn a bachelor's degree and, after their fifth year, a master's degree. The Department supports a scholar-teacher model with a commitment to integrate course work, clinical education, and individualized student mentorship.
Earned research doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology (Communication Sciences and Disorders) or related field. ABD will be considered for outstanding candidates.
Evidence of, or potential for, excellence in scholarship and teaching
Clinical Certification from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association
Eligibility for Pennsylvania state license
