Summary of Duties:

The Maintenance Mechanic 1 is involved in set-up and take-down of all on-site athletic events. The incumbent will inspect, maintain, and repair facilities for the Athletic Department, and will assist with all sports' turf management aspects. This position will also lead and work along student workers, and will be required to work varied hours and days including nights and weekends.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduation or equivalent and two years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work; OR equivalent education/experience.
  
• Possession of, or ability to obtain at time of hire, a valid Driver's License.
  
• Ability to work varied hours and days including nights and weekends.
  
• Experience working with and leading students.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using computer email programs such as Outlook, Gmail, etc.
  
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Monthly Salary: Effective July 1, 2022, the salary range will be $4,117-$4,656. Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
